The Accugrade© Grading Guide
This is the 1989 copyrighted Sportscard Grading Guide which is now used universally by most grading services. There are 10 points to a perfect mint card. They are Centering, Cut, Corners, Color, Picture Quality, Focus, Coat or Enamel, Borders, Registration and micro imperfections. PQ stands for Premium Quality.

  Grade 10 - Gem Mint - a perfect card or 10 Points 50/50 Front - 50/50 Rev.
  Grade 9PQ - Gem Mint - a perfect card or 9.5 Pts 50/50 Front - 60/40 Rev.
  Grade 9 - Mint - a nearly perfect card or 9 Pts 50/50 Front - 70/30 Rev.
  Grade 8PQ - Mint - a nearly perfect card or 8.5 Pts 55/45 Front - 75/25 Rev.
  Grade 8 - Near-Mint to Mint - near mint - 8 Pts 60/40 Front - 80/20 Rev.
  Grade 7PQ - Near-Mint to Mint - a nearly mint card or 7.5 Pts 65/35 Front - 80/20 Rev.
  Grade 7 - Near-Mint - a nearly mint card or 7 Pts 70/30 Front - 85/15 Rev.
  Grade 6 - Excellent to Near-Mint - nearly mint - 6 Pts 90/10 Front - 95/05 Rev.
  Grade 5 - Excellent - slightly used & creased with slightly frayed corners N/A
  Grade 4 - Very Good to Excellent - used, creased, with frayed edges N/A
  Grade3 - Very Good - heavily used, creased, with rounded corners N/A
  Grade2 - Good - heavily used, creased, repaired, very rounded corners N/A
  Grade 1 - Fair to Poor - heavily used, creased, ripped, torn or repaired
